Release time is time away from work with pay. Release time may be approved for purposes of conducting personal business in offices such as the Office of Human Resources, Office of Disability Concerns, Office of Diversity and Affirmative Action, etc. Release time may also be granted for participating in Wellness activities, voting, attending Civil Service Council meetings or University events, or attending University sponsored development programs. No pay is provided to employees who participate in such activities outside of their normal work schedule. In all cases, release time is granted by the supervisor based on operating needs of the unit.
