NTT Evaluations - Scope and Frequency

NTT evaluations should be conducted annually. Please use the guidelines below with outline the requirements for a typical NTT evaluation:

  • Evaluation material will be collected on a calendar year. (Material from spring semester and then the following fall semester will be the primary source of material for the evaluation.)
  • Full-time and part-time regular probationary NTT faculty members will receive an annual evaluation. Status NTT faculty members will be evaluated at least every third year following the completion of the probation period; more frequent evaluation is at the sole discretion of the department chair or designee. Evaluations will be completed no later than May 1. For more information, see Article XVI, Faculty Evaluation Process in the NTTFA Bargaining Agreement.
  • Non-negotiated, full-time NTT faculty members should be evaluated annually. The deadline is May 1.
  • Part-time casual NTT faculty members may be evaluated through the above process, or a less formal process. The University is not obligated to complete the evaluation process for these NTT faculty members.
