Additional Payment for Employment in Excess of Regular Appointment Form
Instructions for Completing the Additional Payment Form
3.2.11 Employment in Excess of Full-Time Appointment
3.4.7 Employment for Teaching Purposes of Administrative/Professional Personnel
Additional Payment is used to compensate employees for work performed in excess of their full-time appointment in situations where payment will be received from University funds.
Additional Payment can be provided to any academic employee who renders academic services on an irregular or one-time basis. Overload is defined as an extension of a tenured faculty or probationary tenure-track faculty’s primary responsibility with the assignment causing a workload that is in excess of the usual and customary duties. In the case of faculty, an overload is teaching of credit-generating courses above and beyond their regular assignment for emergency or unusual circumstances.
