Scheduled Or Unscheduled?
Time away from work is either scheduled or unscheduled.
- Scheduled- arranged for in advance for anticipated events such as vacations, funerals, appointments, personal business, weddings, military training, surgery, childbirth, jury duty, disability leave, FMLA leave, religious observances or personal convenience.
- Unscheduled- not arranged for in advance and caused by reasons such as unexpected personal or family illness, accidents or family/home emergencies.
In analyzing an attendance record, occurrences where the absence was unscheduled will be used. While not scheduled, absence due to a bona fide work-related injury will not be considered "unscheduled" in the analysis of absences.
