Payroll System Access Authorization

TAPS (Transaction Application Processing System) is a mainframe transaction used to display university employee information. Each screen contains the specific values stored in the personnel/payroll data base for the individual whose record is displayed.

For TAPS access authorization, link to the following forms, complete and forward them to Kathi Hamilton by fax at (309) 438-3649 or via campus mail: 101 Nelson Smith Building, Campus Box 1300.

Directions on how to use TAPS are available in the TAPS Procedures Manual. Additional information regarding data element terms and values of each element can be found in the PAF Manual.

The TAPS on-line system is available for use Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Use during times other than noted above is not prohibited, but the system may be down without notice for maintenance and nightly production runs.

Note:  If the message OPERATOR SECURITY RECORD DISABLED, CALL SECURITY appears on the screen when signing into TAPS, you have exceeded the three password attempts allowed by the system. To have your operator ID reset, contact Kathi Hamilton at 438-2931, Rick Hamblin at 438-8965 or Brad Winans at 438-3472.
