Compensation

All assistantships receive a monthly stipend and a tuition fellowship. Interested applicants should refer to the Graduate Assistant Handbook for specific information relating to eligibility, academic load, employment percentages, and stipends.

International Students

All international students with graduate assistantships who receive a temporary Illinois State University identification number from International Studies must obtain a Social Security Number (SSN). The student must contact the Social Security Administration office to obtain the SSN before a paycheck can be issued.
