Libraries

Bloomington and Normal Public Libraries: Ask at reference desk for help finding books and articles on eldercare. In addition to regular selections, books in large print and on cassette, music on cassette and CD, and videos are available. Ask the Outreach Department at the Bloomington library, or Senior Services at the Normal library about Bifolkal Kits (to bring back memories and help share experiences), Talking Book Service, homebound delivery, and other special programs.

Bookstores

Look in sections such as aging or family care or health. Check the Barnes and Noble Web site to find new titles by typing eldercare or frail elderly at Search.)

Video store

Look in the special interest section. (Blockbuster has some free community service rentals.)

For cassettes and CD’s, look in sections on easy listening (Sam Goody/Musicland has oldies back to the 1940’s, others can be ordered), new age (piano- relaxing), classical, and other standard sections.
