Family swims are held at Thomas Metcalf Pool from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Pool time is available for employees and families, with lifeguards provided. Parents/guardians must accompany children in the pool area, bring your own swim gear, floatation devices, and towels. Pool depth is 3 feet at shallow end and 9 feet at deep end. Family swims are offered from September – April, and registration is required via our online system.
Fall 2009 Dates: 9/19, 10/4, 10/24, 11/8, 11/14 and 12/5.
We are excited to invite you and your immediate family members to share an afternoon at the Children's Discovery Museum in downtown Normal. The first 130 people registered will receive free admission. A reduced rate of $3.00 per person will be offered to those past the first 130. Avanti's sack lunches may be purchased for $5.00 and will be delivered to the museum the day of the event. Pre-payment for the sack lunches is required.
Bring your family and enjoy an afternoon of bowling and/or billiards on campus at no cost. Each family has one lane for one and one-half hours. Choose one of three time slots: 1, 2:30, or 4 p.m. Lane bumpers are available for small children. This activity is offered during fall semesters, and registration is required.
Do you love the great outdoors? Bring your family for an outdoor adventure at Lake Evergreen. Those registered will meet at the Outdoor Adventure Center, caravan to Lake Evergreen, and the Recreation Services outdoor staff will provide canoeing instructions, equipment, and a picnic lunch. Cost is $15.00 per person (12 and over), $10.00 11 and under, and includes equipment rental, instructions, and lunch.
Space is limited. Adults will be in the boat with children.
